Support Our Community!

Those who support our community in hard times are vitally important! They need our help. But you may be wondering . . . how?

Check out the needs from fellow Metroport Chamber Members - our non-profits need your help!

Argyle Education Foundation: Our annual Gala is canceled, but we have transitioned to a Direct Donation Campaign so we can continue to support STEM teachers, programs, and students in AISD.

Boys and Girls Club: Boys & Girls Clubs continues to serve local youth through daily meal and learning kit distribution and distant learning. We are currently serving meals Monday-Friday at dinnertime at seven of our locations, these meals and kits are open to the public! You can find out more information on

Christ's Haven for Children: Our top priority at Christ’s Haven for Children is to ensure that the children in our care are safe and healthy. And just like families in our community and across the country, we continue to care for children 24/7 while following our trauma-informed, family-based model of care. Our houseparents are responsible for the daily care and e-learning for up to eight children in each home. As an organization we are preparing to take new placements, providing much needed homes for abused or neglected children. Virtual Opportunities to Support |

Community Storehouse: Community Storehouse activated the Emergency Assistance protocols in response to the COVID-19 crisis. We are currently providing individuals and families with emergency food and supplies in this time of need.  We have seen an increase of over 150 people each day, with a drop in funding.  Please consider making a financial donation, food pantry donation or donation of items to help us raise funds to support our efforts.

Communities in Schools of North Texas: Communities In Schools of North Texas continues our critical case management services for students and their families virtually. From crisis needs assessment calls to virtual social-emotional supports, our Site Coordinators are hard at work to ensure that students have the resources that they need during this crisis. For more information about how to help through donation of food or hygiene items or other virtual supports, please visit:

Metroport Meals on Wheels: MMOW is committed to maintaining services for our participants.  We realize that in addition to providing essential meals and welfare checks, the continuity of routine is a source of comfort and reassurance in uncertain times.  MMOW is utilizing “no contact” procedures in meal delivery to safeguard both participants and volunteers.  Although delivering from a distance, the volunteers are alert for cues that would trigger concern and notify MMOW if there are concerns.  Volunteers are also making weekly comfort calls to check on participants during the crisis.  Where possible, senior center meals are still being provided.  Curbside “to-go” procedures have been implemented which allow seniors to receive meals without leaving their vehicles.  Shelf stable meals and supplemental pet food deliveries continue without interruption.  Monetary donations can be made online at  Individuals or groups wishing donte staples or to do food drives are encouraged to contact MMOW at 817-491-1141 to obtain a wish list and coordinate timing.

Northwest ISD Education Foundation: The Northwest ISD Education Foundation is focused on providing food and school supplies to any NISD student in need. Many students have no basic supplies and no way to access other food sources in the community so we are delivering these items to the student’s home every Friday! Every donation will go directly to students and NEF is matching up to $10,000 for any monetary donations. You can find the three opportunities for support at

Victory Therapy Center: Due to the actions taken to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Victory Therapy Center has had to postpone one our larger events Victory Shootout. A few of our funders have had to postpone their events as well and are unable to provide monetary assistance at this time. VTC has had approximately 40% of our clients and volunteers cancel until further notice as well as we have had to rework our schedule daily to make sure our clients and volunteers are social distancing which has caused extended hours and pay for our staff. Please consider donating.
