Big Chill Reopens with a Sweet Celebration in Trophy Club


On May 30, 2025, the Metroport Chamber proudly joined the community in celebrating the grand reopening of Big Chill Ice Cream in Trophy Club. Located at 2550 Bobcat Blvd., Suite 112, directly across from Byron Nelson High School, Big Chill has been a cherished local spot for cool treats. Now under the new ownership of Tony Strehlow, his wife Debbie, and their son Connor, the shop is ushering in a fresh era of delightful indulgence.


The Strehlow family, who took over the establishment on April 1, have infused Big Chill with exciting updates. Patrons can now enjoy homemade waffle cones, protein smoothies, and a renovated patio complete with ceiling fans—perfect for savoring a scoop on warm Texas days. Tony, embarking on this venture post-retirement after 40 years in the energy sector, expressed enthusiasm about contributing to the community's vibrancy.


Big Chill continues to serve premium ice cream, offering 28 delectable flavors, specialty sundaes, thick milkshakes, and snow cones. With its commitment to exceptional customer service and a welcoming atmosphere, Big Chill remains a go-to destination for families and ice cream aficionados alike.
