Lisa lives in North Texas with her husband of nearly 30 years and several four-legged loved ones. She is the CEO and Founder of Abiding Strategy®, a leadership consulting practice she started in 2009.  Her experience helped her understand that better leadership can help create better lives for everyone.  Her vision is to bring JOY to the workplace and strives to help her clients Build Better Bosses! As a Business Coach, she helps founder of private companies in several ways. Her flagship product is The Abiding Strategy® Workshop, which is popular because clients do achieve the goals they set, with her help.  She does individual and group leadership coaching as well. She has two books: "Taking in Strays: Leadership Lessons from Unexpected Places" and "Abiding Strategies: Build your Best Business Foundation." Her third book, honoring her father who passed in 2025 is “Lessons from Dad: Leadership, Love & Legacy” will be released on November 11, 2026.

Building a communication culture is harder than it sounds. Anybody can talk. If you can talk “at” people without putting some intention behind your words, your message might not get through. Plus, communication is a two-way street. While there are lots of resources about how to listen, there are far fewer about how to properly communicate. When people talk good things happen.  When you replace the “blah blah blah”with thoughtful and intentional dialogue based on the needs of the other person, great things happen.
