Ribbon Cutting! Function Coffee Co

The Metroport Chamber was excited to celebrate the grand opening of Function Coffee Co. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony in Northlake.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Tony and Devin, Function Coffee Co. has quickly become much more than a coffee shop—it has become a gathering place for community, connection, and conversation. What began as a passion for specialty coffee roasting has grown into a welcoming brick-and-mortar café serving Northlake, Argyle, Justin, and the surrounding Metroport region.

Located in Northlake Commons, Function Coffee Co. offers locally roasted, small-batch specialty coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks, matcha beverages, and a warm atmosphere designed to bring people together. Their mission is simple: make specialty coffee approachable, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.

Tony's journey into coffee began years ago while working in coffee shops in New York and Los Angeles before returning to Texas and launching his own roasting operation. Today, Function Coffee Co. roasts its coffee in-house using an environmentally conscious electric roaster and continues to focus on quality, hospitality, and community at every step.

The Chamber is proud to have watched Function Coffee Co. grow from a member business into one of Northlake's newest destinations. Their commitment to creating a space where neighbors can meet, work, connect, and enjoy exceptional coffee aligns perfectly with the spirit of our region.
