Ribbon Cutting! Northwest ISD McCreary Multipurpose Facility

On Tuesday, September 30 Northwest ISD invited the Metroport Chamber to celebrate their new McCreary Multipurpose Facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Completed in 2024 and funded through the May 2023 bond, the facility will host district sporting events and community programs. It has already been used for events like the Angel Tree during the holidays and will be available for community rentals next year.

Named after former administrator Dennis McCreary, the building honors his lasting impact on the district’s growth and commitment to supporting students and staff. What was once the Gene Pike Middle School competition gym has been thoughtfully transformed into a space designed to serve both the district and the community.
