CITY OF JUSTIN
Mayor James Clark
City of Justin
WELCOME FROM THE MAYOR
Justin used to be the best-kept secret in Denton County, but now the secret is out!
Strategically nestled just a few miles west of I35 and north HWY 114, we are a hidden gem rediscovered. Justin epitomizes small-town charm, and while we consciously protect this charm, we are known for being friendly and inviting. From antiques, boutiques, western wear, coffee, and gelato. There is something for you in Justin.
Justin’s population will more than double within the next 10 years. With the foresight to prepare, we have grown our park lands to over 50 acres. We have partnered with a developer to bring a nearly 40-acre master planned development to life. This development will be highly walkable and includes office, retail, medical space, and our future City Municipal Complex. From Justin Old Town to the Justin Town Square Project, we are open for business, open for families, and open for you. We invite you to come out and see what the frontier truly has to offer. You just might choose to stay awhile!
LOCATION
Justin is located five miles west of IH-35W, four miles north of SH-114 and Texas Motor Speedway. Alliance Airport is only eight miles south, and DFW Airport is 25 miles east.

COMMUNITY OVERVIEW
The City recently released a video titled “Why Justin?” showcasing a business owner and resident who shared their stories about why they chose Justin as their home. It became apparent that the city slogan “Everything a Hometown Should Be” was a reoccurring theme in why both relocated to Justin. Like many others, they find Justin as a hidden gem, nestled at the intersection of FM 407 and FM 156 and just four miles north of HWY 114. This family friendly community offers enough distance from the hustle and bustle of the city life while also being close enough to the DFW metroplex to help meet work and family needs.
Many families and businesses relocate to Justin due to its rich history and community driven atmosphere. You rarely meet a stranger in Justin and will likely run into families that have lived here for many generations. The BNSF Railroad, which was a key to the early success of the City, still comes through the heart of Justin today. The City is also known for western appeal and is often referred to as boot capital of the western world. Justin offers a rural landscape, over 50 acres of park space for residents to enjoy, as well as unique shopping and dining experiences.
Justin is facing rapid residential growth which will set the City up for great future retail opportunities. Ample space is still available for residential and commercial development, including properties along the FM 156 and FM 407 corridors. Over 3,000 homes/dwelling units are currently in the planning or platting phases with several subdivisions actively building homes with price points between the mid $300s and upper $500s. Timberbrook, the City’s largest planned development, is under construction now with home sites, amenity centers, hike and bike trails, and a dog park.
The growth around I-35W north has been incredible to say the least, and there is no denying the prosperity headed to Justin! The City’s population will more than double in less than 10 years, and there is an emphasis now on preserving our small-town rural charm as the City grows. Justin recently broke ground on the highly anticipated Justin Town Square project. This 36-acre master planned development is in partnership with Office Equity Solutions that will include retail/office space and a municipal complex.
Justin is committed to quality development and continues to provide excellent public service to businesses and residents. The City has been working hard to prepare itself for this significant population growth and is currently undertaking many infrastructure improvements throughout the city in order to ensure sustainability citywide. The Justin City Council is committed to promoting a sustainable community through the implementation of forward-thinking policies and programs. Special attention is focused on ensuring that Justin’s quality of life is not only enjoyed by today’s residents but guaranteed for future generations to come.
